The Cessnock City Liquor Accord, in partnership with the Cessnock City Council’s Traffic and Road Safety Officer and Transport for NSW, is proud to support the “What’s Your Plan B? – Win a Swag” campaign, aimed at reducing drink driving incidents across the Cessnock Local Government Area.
This initiative is part of the broader Local Government Road Safety Program, which supports licensed venues in promoting responsible drinking and safer journeys home during the festive period.
About the Campaign
More than 350 licensed venues across regional NSW are taking part in this Transport for NSW initiative. Locally, participating Cessnock venues will display What’s Your Plan B? posters, encouraging patrons to think ahead and plan a safe way home after drinking.
Patrons simply need to scan the QR code on the posters, enter their details, and tell us their Plan B for getting home safely to go in the draw to win a camping swag valued at up to $250.

Leading by Example
President of the Cessnock City Liquor Accord, Paul Cousins, said the initiative demonstrates the local industry’s proactive approach to community safety.
“As hospitality operators, we have a shared responsibility to help reduce drink driving and encourage safer decisions. The Plan B – Win a Swag campaign is a simple, positive way to remind patrons that celebrating responsibly includes thinking ahead about how they’ll get home safely.”
This campaign highlights the ongoing partnership between the Cessnock City Liquor Accord, Cessnock City Council, and Transport for NSW in working together towards a safer community.
